ABOUT THE ROLE...

 

Commencing in Alice Springs, the successful candidate will be part of the Track Scour Team responsible for the repair of damaged infrastructure in the rail corridor, between Tarcoola and Darwin, including access track maintenance, vegetation control, scour & culvert repairs. This is not a FIFO role. The successful candidate would need to be available to report at the start of each roster in Alice Springs.   

 

Being based in Alice Springs the successful candidate will be required to work in remote areas along the rail corridor. This position requires employees to work 21 Days on (with a fatigue day on day 14) followed by 7 days off. Hotel accommodation and meal allowances are provided whilst working away from Alice Springs.

 

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate proficiency operating all or some following equipment and plant:

  • Multi Combination (MC) Trucks
  • Wheel Loaders
  • Rollers
  • Graders
  • Water Carts
  • Side tipper trailers

Candidates must possess current licences / tickets to operate plant and equipment. Cert II or III in Rail Infrastructure and Cert III in Civil Construction Plant Operations is highly desirable.
